A further developed version of the Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid will take on the Nürburgring 24 hour race on June 25. During development, Porsche prioritized efficiency via the targeted optimization of hybrid components, which also led to a 20% weight reduction. It’s expected that version 2.0 of the 911 GT3 R Hybrid will be able to achieve the same lap times as its predecessor but with less fuel consumption. The hybrid’s general layout was taken from the 2010 model.
