EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS: Has The Mercedes SL Been Checkmated By The All New 2012 BMW 6-Series Coupe and Convertible?

Agent001 is at it again! Feast your eyes on the all new 2012 BMW 6 Series Coupe and Convertible. 

First of all from the ground up you need to know these are two totally different cars here, the cabrio is not just a coupe with the top chopped off.  Why did BMW do this, you might say?  Simply because it is the right thing to do to ensure a rigid platform to build upon. You just can't go and remove a top from an existing vehicle every time like other automakers.  It just doesn't work that way.

The all new interior is...  might I say a step above even that of Audi?  Not only is the choice of materials better than before but the ergonomics are better as well.  The lighting at night is simply fantastic!

I especially like the subtle yet effective hidden backup camera that pops out from behind the logo on the trunk. Uber cool if you ask me.

Also for those who just can't wait, for the time ever there will be a x-drive all wheel drive variant from the beginning of the model year.  Can we say Audi was targeted from the beginning?
