Arguably one of the hottest released products in 2010 was the 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG "Gullwing." I say arguably because some detractors would disagree; however, it seems to have been embraced by many.
Now if you thought Mercedes-Benz would have some trouble topping that, well, think again. That's because it has been laboring on a drop-top version of the SLS AMG, which we have seen in numerous spy photographs. In fact, last week Mercedes showed us some official photographs of the car sporting a bright silver paint job and a red top.
This week we've got something a bit different. These images show a black SLS AMG Roadster with a tan soft top and it is virtually naked. The only exceptions seem to be slightly covered up headlights, taillights and rear badging.
Otherwise, this appears to be your 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster.

Last week, Mercedes-Benz previewed its upcoming SLS AMG Roadster ahead of its world premiere at this fall’s 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show with some teaser shots illustrating a subtly masked prototype during testing.
