Considering there is a wagon craze being inflicted upon buyers with a slew of new offerings, it looks like it might be the right time to bring it back. You know what I am talking about, the Audi A6 Allroad that hasn't been in the U.S. market for years now.

The thing is, they're still around the New York tri-state area fairly commonly, which means buyers are holding onto them for quite some time.

Known for being able to take a beating and its unique take on the wagon, with its high ground clearance, body protection and unique interior, the Allroad was something special.

And if spy photos are any indication, it appears that Audi is working on it again. A fast-moving Carscoop reader spotted one undergoing testing and snapped a lone photo of this new product.


Audi's solution for those searching to combine the practicality and roominess of a station wagon model with the higher ground clearance, all-wheel drive and body protection of an SUV is the Allroad Quattro series.

The urban-offroad combo treatment has been offered for a while now on Audi's palette of station wagon models, and with the introduction of the
latest A6 Avant earlier this year, we knew it was only a matter of time before we heard news about an Allroad Quattro model...
