After making its way, and a lot of headlines, around the auto show circuit last year, Ford's Focus ST Concept will finally be put into production form for the first time at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show.

For those of you not in the loop, the ST is essentially the answer to Volkswagen's Golf GTI.

With that said, we can expect it to be front-wheel drive, feature nearly 250-horsepower and have a small displacement forced induction motor.

I wonder if the name of my favorite color, Tangerine Scream, will stick?

Look for the Focus ST to head to the States in 2012.

Anyone want to start a pool on where it will price in?


The series production version of the Ford Focus ST will show its face formally — and finally — next week at the Frankfurt motor show. The hot hatch will be sold in the United States later in 2012...

...Compared with the standard 2012 Focus now on sale, the ST also has a lowered chassis, bigger brakes and suspension tuning tweaks. More details are expected to be revealed next week at the show, but pricing for the United States-bound model is not. The Titanium model, which represents the current high end for the Focus in America, costs $23,495 before options....
