With all of the brouhaha surrounding the new movie Who Killed The Electric Car?, one might think that Tesla Motors would’ve gotten the message about a big conspiracy set to do-in their efforts. But no… the company is set to unveil its Tesla Roadster sports car on July 20, and it’s already making some seriously bold claims about its performance.
0-60 mph in four seconds. The equivalent of 135 miles per gallon. 250 miles per charge. Pennies per mile to drive. All of which sounds mighty fanciful in light of what has been seen from pure-electric production cars to this point.
The world will know more about the viability of Tesla’s Roadster in just six days.
