Though the Los Angeles Auto Show is typically know as the "Green car show," it looks like Jaguar didn't get the memo this year.

That's because it will be bringing its flagship XKR-S convertible to this year's event in SoCal.

For those not in the loop, the XKR-S is a V8 monster, which produces 550 horsepower and sounds absolutely brutal.

Without question, it is likely the coolest Jaguar ever produced aside from the XJR 100.

The new Jaguar XKR-S convertible will make its world debut at the Los Angeles motor show, which kicks off next week. The hardcore cabriolet will be joined by the Jaguar C-X16 production concept, which will be shown in North America for the first time.

Like the XKR-S coupe, the new soft-top version is likely to be powered by the same 5.0-litre V8 supercharged engine, which produces 542bhp and 502lb ft of torque - 39bhp and 41lb ft of torque more than the standard XKR...
