The BMW Group (BAMXY.PK: News ,BAMXF.PK: News ,BMW.L: News ) reported that the worldwide sales of BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce automobiles for 2011 grew by 14.2% last year to reach 1.67 million vehicles compared with 1.46 million vehicles in the earlier year period. Sales for December were up 11.9% to 158,125 vehicles from 141,358 vehicles in the same period a year ago.
In 2011, BMW brand sales improved 12.8% to reach a total of 1.38 million vehicles, and MINI brand's worldwide sales climbed to 285,060 vehicles; as well as the sales of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars amounting to 3,538 cars, up 30.5% on the 2010 total of 2711 cars.
Due to the BMW 3 Series model changeover, the Group said it anticipates to see momentum increase in the second half of the year.
