Japanese car manufacturer, Nissan Motors revealed their global sales report for the calendar year 2011 earlier this week. According to the report, Nissan Motors achieved their highest ever sales figures in a calendar year last year as they registered sales of 4,632,375 units globally. Compared to 2010 global sales, Nissan Motors managed to increase their sales figures by a good 14.3% in 2011.

For the month of December 2011, Nissan sold 397,446 units globally, which is their highest ever in a calendar month. Japan remains Nissan's largest consumer followed by China, Mexico, America and UK. Nissan Motors would have easily managed even better sales figures had it not been for the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami, that created havoc in Japan.
