Now this may not be completely clear for folks that reside in the United States but we actually get off pretty easy when it comes to buying a car. Not only is the US one of the cheapest places to purchase a vehicle, we also do have some of the cheapest fuel prices, even as they inch up significantly.
The reason why it's less expensive to buy a vehicle is because we do not have a high taxes associated with them. In Egypt, it's a different story. So one tuner took matters into his own hands as he wanted a 1M but didn't want to face the $150,000 in custom charges + the original price of the car.
That led to him building his idea of the perfect 1M with the E92 M3's V8.
The tuner says:
just wanted to share with you my new project, perfectly done,
car was e82 120 d , i completely stripped the car, fitted it
with M3 v8 engine, suspension, with all modifications required,
car had custom made exhaust to fit the chassis,
all 1m body panels were fitted with the rear arches custom widened
to go with the m rear suspension and the 1m rear bumper, car has been fitted
also with generation 2 idrive and 1m 19" wheels.
