Today Agent 00R was at Englishtown Raceway in New Jersey for Waterfest, which is said to be the largest organized event of its kind in North America. We don't doubt it either as there are license plates from up and down the east coast and a slew of vendors from all over. Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Florida and North Carolina plates are sprinkled throughout the crowd, although the majority are from the New York tri-state region of New Jersey, New York and Connecticut.
In addition to vendors showing off their wares, attendees can drag race, auto cross, dyno their own vehicles and show off their ride.
What makes Waterfest unique is the atmosphere and fun vibe that permeates everything. It's "the people's auto show." It's certainly not Pebble Beach, and we're fine with that.
Cars are slammed to the ground, sporting unique wraps, paint jobs and -- in some cases -- rust. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter because the only thing that matters at Waterfest is that folks are passionate about their rides and they're hear to have a good time.
