Thanks to government aid, two leading Japanese automakers, Toyota Motor Corp. and Honda Motor Co. witnessed considerable growth in Japanese car markets in the first half of 2012, but all this euphoria might get subsided as the subsidies from the state are at the brink of running out.

In the coming quarter, the vehicle sales in the country is likely see a dip of 20%, whereas in the first 7 months the surge was as much as 53%, as pointed out by IHS Automotive and analysts from BNP Paribas SA. The number one automaker, Toyota, is likely to count big time on cheaper edition of its flagship Prius hybrid in order to meet the demands. Nissan Motors, on the other hand, will not expand the business much and will focus more on extending support to its dealer network.
