The company has scored a total of 99 out of 100 points where Global 500 Rankings of Carbon Disclosure Project is concerned. Besides this, BMW Group also ranks in the Top 3 of all participating companies across the globe. Climate protection is a major issue for the company as they continually strive to augment environmental protection at the plants while the recent recognition at CDP Global 500 Ranking has authenticated their stand.
Speaking of CDP Global 500 Rankings, this is an independent NGO which works towards reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and sustainable water usage by businesses. It ranks 500 companies across the globe and only 10% of these companies make it to the index with BMG Group in a leading position.
BMW Group has been in the news for the second time in one week as it was recognised for its commitment to sustainability on September 8th when it was designated the industry leader in Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes making it the world's most sustainable automobile company for the seventh year in a row.
