It was only several years ago that the Bentley Continental Flying Spur was the "it" car. They speckled New York and SoCal like Mercedes-Benz S-Classes while people continued to clamor for them. Much like the Continental GT, it was a runaway success.
But as they say in The Outsiders when Pony Boy recites Robert Frost: "Nothing gold can stay."
Fast forward to a revamped Continental GT with a new, V8 motor and now we're pretty confident that the Flying Spur will receive similar updates/treatment.
This would include an updated grille, headlights, a more modern interior and, of course, that V8.
We've already seen pictures of an early prototype, which was disguised as a Mercedes S-Class, so this is our first glimpse of the new car's styling.
From the side, it echoes the bold lines of the outgoing model with a sweeping roofline and Mulsanne-inspired bootlid. The new car will feature a redesigned grille, too, as well as a set of quad exhaust pipes and new headlights.
