Audi reported its best first quarter in the company’s history, with 369,500 units sold, up 6.8%.

    “Building on the first quarter’s record deliveries, we want to continue this positive sales trend over the next months, too”, says Luca de Meo, Member of the Board of Management for Sales and Marketing at AUDI AG.

In March the automaker sold 147,000 units, an increase of 3% compared with the same month last year. The vehicles which contributed to this record were the SUV models, the A4 family and the A1 Sportback.
Global sales of the SUV Q3 increased 58.2% to 28,550 units and the Q5 increased 15.6% to 56,350 units. Audi managed to achieve growth in the troubled European market, up 0.7% to 187,600 units for the first quarter.
