Happy Mother's Day out there to all of the Spies' moms!

Now, I don't know about you guys but I am a momma's boy. Yup, truth be told. What can I say, she only did birth me. But while reflecting today with the rest of my family I started going through my dim memory and reconnecting the moments I had with my mom and — predictably — cars.

Take, for example, all of the times she drove me and my brother to football practice — in pads and helmets — in her rickety 1980s Chevrolet Caprice Classic station wagon. That thing spent MORE time in the shop then getting us to our various practices, but, generally speaking, it took a beating from our muddy cleats and my various siblings. It DID feel like a tank on the road though!

Or, how about learning to drive in a church parking lot one day before I was to have an official driving lesson. I remember being so nervous behind the wheel of that mint green Toyota Camry and realizing that an automatic will roll when you take your foot off the brake. So naive back then!

That said, I want to turn it to you guys to share your favorite memories of your moms, driving and anything auto-related.

Take it away, boys and girls!

I know I am not the only one. While watching an episode of Counting Cars, "The Count" recently had some buyers shopping his personal collection. When they turned to his mom's 1950s Chevrolet Bel Air drop-top and they inquired about it, Danny reflected and got a bit emotional. Of course he didn't let it go!
