This morning CEO Wolfgang Schreiber heralded the beginning of Bentley's third era of motorsport at the global unveiling of its first racing car since the Le Mans-winning Speed 8.
The Bentley Continental GT3 will undergo a period of intensive track development this year before tackling its maiden season in the 2014 FIA Blancpain series. As the plan currently stands, it will not race at Le Mans.
Using the production Continental GT’s bodyshell as a basis, and in collaboration with Malcolm Wilson’s M Sport, Bentley has produced a competition car conforming to FIA GT3 rules.
