Toyota Camry might lose the place as top-selling car, after sales dropped 2% in the first half of the year.

While Toyota’s Camry sales dropped, rivals in the midsize segment, such as Ford Fusion, Nissan Altima and Honda Accord, reported big gains. At the end of June, the Accord was trailing Camry with 21,000 vehicles, compared with the gap of 59,000 vehicles during the same period last year. Trying to keep the model on the first place, Toyota has cut the vehicle’s price and offered big discounts.
