Those of you that aren't aware there are two things Australia is known for: 1) Kangaroos, and 2) its love of V8-powered muscle cars. Well, it just so happens that a heavily modified Holden flamed out, quite literally, with a spectacular fireball at an auto event this past weekend.

According to reports, the vehicle was owned by Michael "Gup" Gilbert, the owner of Powercruise. Being an Aussie, he clearly was aiming to have one helluva V8 Holden as he replaced the LS3-equipped vehicle with a 727-cubic-inch V8. To keep this brief it costs nearly $56,000 bucks and produces over 1,200 horsepower.

Actually, it produced 1,275 horsepower until it decided to go kaput as you'll see below.
