BMW Group's MINI is slated to show off an all-new MINI Cooper next week on the 18. The debut comes days before the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show as well as the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show.

Something tells us this MINI may make an appearance in LA.

When the Cooper first debuted in the early 2000s, it was a vehicle that exploded to popularity with its quirky British character a lovable, fun-sized dimensions. It got decent fuel economy and, boy, did it handle in the corners.

BUT with the good comes the bad. Its suspension if punishing if you find yourself in an urban environment and that British charm wears off as the price climbs, which it can do very easily in these highly personalized MINIs.

Following the footsteps of other manufacturers steeped in tradition (e.g., Porsche) MINI is slightly evolving the design of the all-new Cooper. Of course this creates a schism: folks who LOVE the cars and folks who are BORED.

That said, with the debut of the all-new MINI on the way are you PUMPED or DEFLATED?

The all new MINI is just that. All new. But with all the soul of the original and then some.
