This, and its modern Ford rival, the Shelby CV525 — formally the Ford Shelby Crown Victoria 525 — had impressive V8 engines producing over 500 horsepower. They're the BMW M5 and Mercedes E55 AMG of North America.

The Impala SS (Super Sport) Twin Turbo had, to be specific, 588 horsepower and 665 foot-pounds of torque. Car and Driver did 0-60 mph in 6.5 seconds in the naturally aspirated 1994 model. 0-60 mph claim for the Twin Turbo is really unknown, but in my guess it would hit 0-60 in around 2.7–2.8 seconds just by judging both its power-to-weight ratio and torque-to-weight ratio.

¼—mile time claim was 12.13 seconds according to GM.

Ferrari's 456 GT Berlin was its direct rival back in the days. The Callaway SS SC570 replaced the Chevrolet Impala SS Twin Turbo, although both brands are different.

Ford claims 0-60 in 4.5 and the ¼ in 12.90 for the CV525 with 525 horsepower and 670 foot-pounds of torque.
