Even if you don't follow NASCAR racing, once and a while you hear about the crashes. At the speed these races are conducted at, I reckon there is no such thing as a "small" NASCAR crash.

Most of the ones I've seen are fast and furious. There's a reason why there's a bit of drama brought to the oval. Lives are at stake, every lap.

Today NASCAR held the Coke Zero 400 and early on in the race a massive, 16-car wreck happened that nearly took out the entire field. If you missed it, here it is in its fully glory.

Though we like to think people watch these races for the sport of racing, the reality is that people do tune in simply for the crashes, which is a shame. From what we understand, no one was hurt in today's melee.
