The Porsche 911 Carrera (S as well) competes against the Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Aston Martin V8 Vantage and the Porsche Cayman S. Here are some of my brief observations: the Corvette Z06 is the ultimate performance buy, the Aston Martin has performance but is comes up short as a sports car, the Cayman S is an alternative to the 911 Carrera.
