Only a couple of weeks ago now, a Ferrari 250 GTO set the auction sale price record for a vintage automobile at a staggering $38 million dollars. Although word suggests that other vehicles have traded hands at higher costs, they were done in private so they're not officially booked.

Obviously this price makes one thing clear: the Ferrari 250 GTO is a valuable, rare and highly sought after piece of metal. Most people probably just rub it with a diaper, to paraphrase Cameron from Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

Not this fella though.

During Monterey Car Week, one brave soul wanted to experience — and let others experience — the 250 GTO the way it was meant to be. On the track.
