For years now the New York Auto Show has been one of the big stops on the auto show circuit. Of course it would be, as New York is — theoretically — one of the greatest cities in the world. As the city is, arguably, the financial epicenter of the U.S., there are a lot of big bank accounts here.

While automakers like Ferrari and Maserati stayed away from the show in previous years, Maserati has now embraced the event. Bentley pulled a peculiar move when it didn't show this year. But, if you ask me, I found it very interesting that Aston Martin decided to step up its presence in such a significant way.

Rather than have several cars pulled together inside the Manhattan Motorcars stand, it decided to have a MASSIVE booth next to another niche British marque, McLaren.

While the star of the show, the Vulcan, was placed front and center, I think the display really made a point to show off the product portfolio. And the company's global executives made the trek to the show. The day before the show's first press day, it was interesting to see the company's CEO, Andy Palmer, making an appearance on Bloomberg's cable news channel for an interview with Matt Miller — God, that guy kills me.

Clearly, the company is looking to make a big push in the States as it has a pretty significant dealer network at this point.

That said, take a look at Aston Martin's stand, below!
