Last week, the remaining members of the Top Gear trio, Richard Hammond and James May, were said to have wrapped production on its last season. As noted in a thread yesterday, a couple episodes remained before the season finale, but that was halted when Jeremy Clarkson had it out with a producer.

According to a source abroad who's rumored to be an insider, Hammond and May were offered 4 million GBP for a two-year deal.

As the two presenters have been saying since the whole incident occurred, they feel as though its a "packaged deal" where all three need to be present for the optimal chemistry. I can't agree more. Without Clarkson or Andy Wilman on board, you just know the next reboot of Top Gear will not have the same vigor, zest or wit.

Noted again in The Mirror's story is a possible mega deal with online video streaming service, Netflix. After having tremendous success with its own originally produced content, we wouldn't be surprised to see NFLX hand over the reigns to Clarkson and Wilman and let them do what they will.

Not sure about you all, but I am considering picking up some shares of NFLX to play the momentum.

A source claimed the trio, along with executive producer Andy Wilman are “very close” to signing a big-money deal with Netflix and no amount would persuade them to return to the BBC2 show without Clarkson.

The three pals have actually been in talks with several media outlets - including ITV - but the source claimed the American outlet, whose hit shows include House of Cards, was now the favoured option...
