Audi, the premium German automaker decided to give €1 million in emergency aid for refugees as the company is using its fund to support aid initiatives in production sites located in Ingolstadt, Neckarsulm, Brussels and Gyor.
Rupert Stadler, Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG, said that “We have been shocked by the great suffering of the refugees in Europe. People at our doorsteps are in need – and we therefore want to offer help quickly and avoid red tape.” The corporate donation will go to local aid projects taking place at Audi’s production sites.
Thomas Sigi, Board Member for Human Resources, added that “We are aware of how dramatically the situation of the refugees has developed locally .With the emergency aid we are trying to show our solidarity as well as practice social responsibility at our corporate sites.”
