If you're a company like Lamborghini, one that's steeped in heritage, tradition and cutting edge design, it would be criminal to let a milestone pass you by. That's because it's 1) An opportunity to make an impact on the automotive community, and 2) An opportunity to do a bit of "fundraising."

We've seen it with cars like the Reventon and Veneno. Not only did the company bring about two vehicles that were landmarks due to their design, they also brought forth some seriously heavy pricetags. And, for what, really?

Not much more than a Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 and an Aventador.

To celebrate the company's founder, Ferruccio Lamborghini, we've been hearing rumblings about an all-new special supercar. We know it will be based upon the Aventador with its monster V12. It turns out that these patent images published on Tuesday may give away the full banana.
