If you're in the market for a high-performance sports car for less than $75,000, it's hard to pick anything aside from the BMW M3 and M4. Perhaps the all-new Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 is worth considering if you don't mind a suspect interior?

Regardless, BMW's M cars as of late have been getting dialed up a bit more thanks to the well-regarded Competition Package. Typically speaking these vehicles get slightly better brakes, a new wheel and tire package, and a reworked suspension to tighten things up a bit. The M3 and M4 get a bit more love via a sports exhaust, new wheel and tire package, new springs and dampers, a bump in power, and more.

But if you were shopping for an all-new M3 or M4, would the Competition Package be worth the additional investment?
