It's amazing how the sports car market is alive and humming again. Just think of all the options one has under $150,000 these days.

There's the iconic Porsche 911, the retro-inspired Mercedes-AMG GT, the Jaguar F-Type, American powerhouse Chevrolet Corvette, Audi R8, BMW M6 and more. It's a great day to car shop if this the need you're looking to fill.

It's hard to argue that there's better options than the Porsche 911 and Mercedes-AMG GT though. Both are German. Both are exceedingly well built. And both have a timeless design.

While I believe there's an ass for every seat and there's "different strokes for different folks," there is one great equalizer. That would be the drag race.

Unlike other tests or ways to determine how great a vehicle is, this is objective not subjective.

So, how does a stock AMG GT stack up against the likes of a stock C4S? Watch and see, below.
