Shanghai Motor Co. introduced its latest independent brand in China. The first Roewe (the glorious prestige) will be launched 24 October, ahead of its public debut at the Beijing Motor Show in November.

Roewe or Rong Wei is the brand name applied to former Rover products. The Roewe will be derived from the Rover 75.
