BMW unveils new booth

BMW Group presents new stand concept at International Motor Show in Frankfurt (IAA) 2003

BMW is once again appearing in the "Agora" open space in the Frankfurt Exhibition Center in a new pavilion. The new stand concept provides the right setting for the numerous world premieres that BMW will be presenting this year as part of its product and market offensive. The MINI and Rolls-Royce brands will be presented separately in Hall 4.0 (Stand A26).

Following tradition, BMW will have its own pavilion in the "Agora" open space in the Frankfurt Exhibition Center. With the building’s ceiling hovering at 49 feet, 36,000 square feet of floor space will covered with an air cushion/membrane facade. Cushion areas, each measuring 6.5 x 49 feet will line the spacious building that is open to the light.

Inside the building, the presentation will be appearing on two levels. The BMW product range is to be lined up here between the BMW Z4 on the ground floor and the BMW 7 Series on the first. The centerpieces include the new models that are making their world debut—the 6 Series coupe, the X3 SAV, the facelifted X5 SAV and the new BMW 5 Series sedan. All will be presented on rotating platforms. When these vehicles are shown to trade members and the public, they will be presented by experts. In the adjoining highlight zones, which are set apart from each other visually, visitors will be able to familiarize themselves with the innovations in detail. The best view is from the rostrum, from which visitors will also be able to follow the hourly product presentations. There is room for over 300 visitors on the rostrum.

The MINI and Rolls-Royce brands will be presented in Hall 4.0. MINI can be found on an area covering over 10,500 square feet with a wide-ranging spectrum of products and topics under the familiar motto of "MINI. IS IT LOVE?". In addition to the agility and the many different safety options offered by the MINI, the MINI accessories and the new MINI Collection have a major role to play. The Collection includes products like the MINI Skater, a Softtouch MP3 Player, new fashions, accessories and miniatures.

The Rolls-Royce Phantom will be appearing on a stand area of over 4300 square feet. The stand is divided into a public presentation and a VIP “Closed Room” for in-depth discussions with the experts. The stand is constructed using high-quality glass elements and ultra-glossy surfaces, creating absolutely the right atmosphere for the Rolls-Royce Phantom.

The new BMW exhibition design was conceived by the Berlin-based plajer & franz studio. The exhibition areas for the MINI and Rolls-Royce were designed by Interbrand Zintzmeyer & Lux, Zurich.
