We're at the two-yard line. It's official. According to sources abroad, it's finally down on paper. BMW will be revealing its i3 electric vehicle come July 29.
So batten down the hatches and prepare yourself for a wave of content that day. The Bavarians have been kind enough to provide a teaser image but there's no need, really. That's because we saw the BMW i3 patent image over the weekend.
Word on the street suggests there will be two powertrains offered: 1) a 168 horsepower electric version with an 80 - 100 mile range, or 2) a plug-in hybrid, range-extending variant that will use a small engine to charge batteries through a generator.
We'll be keeping our eyes peeled for any new developments. Until then, you'll have to wait until the 29.
