Even though the Land Rover Range Rover Sport has yet to get its way into buyer's hands, it's clear that something bigger and badder is coming down the pipe. If you're considering throwing down some loot at your local dealer, first consider this.
That would be the upcoming Range Rover Sport RS. This isn't the first time we've seen it out and about testing but it's becoming clear that this isn't just a fluke or concept. This is the real deal.
As we've noted previously power is expected to come via the engine being utilized in the XKR-S and XFR-S that produces around 550 horsepower. Of course with the upped power one could expect bigger brakes, some suspension modifications and some noticeable cosmetic changes.
No word on an expected release date or auto show appearance.
...Sources say that its 5.0-litre V8 supercharged engine will have at least the same 542bhp as the Jaguar XKR-S, XFR-S and XJR. That’s 39bhp more than the new Range Rover Sport’s supercharged V8. Land Rover will be looking for a 0-62mph time of 4.5sec.
