AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – Volkswagen of America, Inc. announced today that they will begin auctioning two Touareg SUV hoods that were each signed by more than 40 professional athletes, actors, and musicians at two events that took place during the VW i.p (Volkswagen Important People) promotion in Las Vegas over the weekend of February 16-18. The auctions will take place on eBay with all of the proceeds benefiting Feed The Children®, a nonprofit relief organization that delivers medicine, food, clothing and other necessities to those who lack supplies due to poverty, war, famine or natural disaster.

The silver hood features signatures in black by stars such as NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, current NBA stars Kobe Bryant, Jason Kidd, Allen Iverson, comedian/actor Cedric the Entertainer, and recording star Nelly, among others.

Both hoods will be mounted and framed, creating a beautiful wall display for the winner of each auction, beginning April 2, 2007 and ending April 11, 2007. The minimum bid for each hood is $500. The auctions can be found here for the black hood and here for the silver.
