While we were getting ourselves out of New York and recovering from four days of walking and running around the 2007 New York Auto Show, some important things happened in the automotive industry. One of the most important things to report is BMW’s release of official details and pictures of the 2008 BMW M3 coupe. Developed on the basis of the new BMW 3-Series coupe, the 2008 BMW M3 coupe is the first ever M3 to have a V8 engine, which gives it the ability to produces 420 horsepower with a 0-60 mph time of 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph.

The 2008 BMW M3 coupe has ‘intelligent lightweight technology’ with a carbon-fiber roof and an all-new aluminum suspension. It’s matted with a 6-speed manual transmission. Click through for the press release and images.
