Sales of the 2010 Ford Fusion have propelled the carmaker this year to sell a record 31,000 hybrids from January to November 2009. According to the Blue Oval’s records, this figure beats the record set in 2007.

However, this hybrid portion only amounts to 2.1% when placed alongside the more than 1.4 million vehicles that Ford has sold so far in 2009. Ford’s hybrid sales were up 67% year-to-date. Ford wants to point out though that overall industry hybrid sales fell 11% so far this year.
