For the first time, the Toyota Motor Corp. sales in Asia, will outnumber those in the Japanese market in 2009 due to a steep sales increase in China. Looking at the numbers, Toyota sold 1,354,000 units in Asia in the first 11 months of 2009, a 4.5% increase comparing to the 2008 sales, while the Japanese market sold “only” 1,256,000 vehicles.
