The Ferrari 599 GTO that will be launched later this year features several key features seen on the 599XX, a new car revealed back in 2009 at the Geneva Motor Show.
Earlier this week, Ferrari boss Amedeo Felisa confirmed the launch of the GTO, a more focused version of the 599 than the current GTB and HGTE models. The car will have a horsepower that exceeds 650bhp, with a similar rise in torque and performance. The car’s weight is reduced to less than 1650kg. The car will also possibly feature the higher performing ferrous iron brake pad technology pioneered on the XX model in addition to the more aggressive gear shift software and elements of the aerodynamic upgrades seen on the 599XX.
