Fiat’s CEO, Mr. Sergio Marchionne confirmed in an interview with Automotive News that the Italian manufacturer is considering selling hybrids in Europe.
Currently there are no details regarding the hybrid models, but Marchionne said that the company will announce its future products on April 21, when it will unveil its 2010-2014 business plan. Piedmont region governor Mercedes Bresso also said on Friday, that Marchionne told her that Fiat will build hybrid variants of the five- and seven-seat minivans which will replace the Idea and Multipla models.
