I very rarely use the word genius because the simple fact remains, not many folks are actually a genius. It's kind of like the word awesome.
But when you see the work that a company named ICON does, you'll be hard pressed to think otherwise.
Recently Jay Leno had on Jonathan Ward showing off one of his Derelicts. It was an old-school DeSoto that was paired up with a Chrysler Town & Country. All original patina, folks.
While some of you may be relatively unimpressed thus far, here's where it gets interesting. ICON took this vehicle and then went a little bananas with it. It gave it a modern heart and parts.
Though it looks like a heap of junk on the outside, it actually features a 6.1-liter HEMI V8 from 2010 underneath. And yes, it features a big brake kit from Wilwood.
Now there's plenty more little Easter eggs scattered throughout the vehicle but I'll leave that for you to find out the rest. Watch the clip below.
But what we really want to know is this: Is this restomod of a 1952 DeSoto AWESOME or AWFUL?
