Unsurprising news broke this week when McLaren decided to officially announce that it will be going after cars like the Porsche 911. Who isn't?
You see, if we hadn't already been telling you this for approximately eight to 12 months, perhaps I would be a bit more excited.
Hell, we've had spy shots of the P13 since last November.
The good news is that this story is about to get pretty damn cool. That's because McLaren took a page from the Jaguar Land Rover and Mercedes-Benz playbook. Rather than have spy photographers snap the car out and about, it got ahead of the curve by releasing its own spy shots and slapping a hashtag on it.
Well played, McLaren. Well played.
That said, here's the very FIRST official image of the Sport Series P13. From what we can see it will definitely be smaller and have a more distinct front end that separates it from the likes of the 650S and P1. This might be the one to have given it will likely be the smallest and most exciting car to drive on the road.
