Im Design soll sich der „Cayenne Compact“ allerdings deutlich vom größeren Bruder unterscheiden. Die Technik könnte vom Cayenne entlehnt werden. Allerdings sind dessen Aggregate und Radaufhängungen sehr teuer. Denkbar ist, daß Porsche beim Cayenne Compact auf Komponenten des VW-Konzerns zurückgreift.
