Nice truck. Except, how is the 4x4 hardware different than the 1st gen?

Hill Descent is pretty much a given on all new SUVs now.

I wonder how much VW and companies like BMW, Lexus, Nissan pay Land Rover for their Hill Descent patents.

LR Patent on Hill Descent:

I love the new look and seems to be completely stable on those steep mountain paths.

I want one!

I highly recommend LR3 for off-roading, it is much more fun.

I own Range Rover Sport and it is not as good as LR3.

I like this SUV, and especially the interior except two things in it, the steering wheel and the gear nob, please change them they've passed their time.

The Touareg has been known as a good off roader.

I've driven both Cayenne and Touareg offroad (pre-facelift) many times on different surfaces and I must say it's briliant. Really clever traction control and diffs. Height suspension is also very nice.

What is the point of the RX over a regular wagon then?

You know they're not going to sell the V8 in Britain any more due to rubbish sales?
And Land Rover are going to drop the 4.4 V8 from the LR3 across Europe because nobody wants a V8 seven seat ooff roader with appalling gas mileage...
