As the U.S. market has been eagerly awaiting the BMW X1, it's just around the corner and its ready to hit dealers' showroom floors. In anticipation, BMWNA has brought forth the all-new X1 via its "Build Your Own" area of the BMWUSA website.

That said, if you're in the market for a $30 - 45,000 sport-utility vehicle, this is likely the best time to start figuring out if the X1 is for you. So, hit up BMWUSA.com and let us know how YOU would configure your X1.

I took two different routes with my choices.

First, I built out a rear-wheel drive sDrive28i in Valencia Orange and kept it very basic.

Second, I built an xDrive35i with the M Sport kit in Alpine White with the uber cool Coral Red interior.

You have many sides. And the X1 was designed for every single one of them. The X1 combines the utility to store all of your gear with the performance, technology and efficiency expected in the Ultimate Driving Machine.
