2007 Chevrolet Tahoe-STUD or DUD?
Now that you've seen the official photos and read the specs on the 07 Tahoe, the Spies want to know what you think of it.

Is it a STUD or a DUD?

I like the exterior lines of the truck and the upgraded interior quality but I'm extremely disappointed it does not have a power fold-flat third row seat.

their design team is stuck in the 80's and 90's. time for new fresh YOUNG blood to shake up the design division, but after all it is Chevy and no one expects anything even remotely close to sexy from them.

Could have been launched in the late 90's and not caused a stir. Clean frontal lines, but bland surfaces and cheap detailing like that plastic front splitter, which looks both out of place and nasty.

Also, the out-dated headlight technology lends it the overall dated appearance, and the way the front doors overlap the A-pillar, makes the side of the car look flimsy, when compared with the macho front end.

And well well, rectangle tail-lights. How original.

Look at Bob Lutz. So happy at the launch of a crude truck-based SUV that no-one wants to buy, at the same time he screws over his premium brand Saab, which actually develops a good product, and has a cult following. Isn't he smart.

Chevy keeps going on on how it is having an "American Revolution". So far it's products have been more an Evolution, and not a good one at that. The Malibu and Impala....Yawnsville! The Cobalt is a full decade behind the newest Civic (only the Corvette keeps the Chevy emblem proud) and now these same old same old Sport Utes.... Looks as if the just cleaned up the previous version's lines a little. Nothing real different. And if GM expects this to be their turn-around vehicle.... it's a sad day for GM and I have a feeling bankruptcy looms

i work at a gmc dealer, and have been a fan of GM's SUV's for a long time. I have driven the new Yukon, which is the same as a Tahoe, mechanically, and I can say that it is a big improvement. The interior has little or no gaps, the engine is good, and I like the new style.
However, there is much room for improvement. The top of the dash is 2 parts, and the part closest to the windsheild seems to be bent. The weather stripping throughout seems to be very insecure; a minor tug here and there can be interesting.
the biggest issue, however, is the price. $50,000 will not sell many of these things. (I'd like to know how someone got one for $36 grand). Also, it is still huge. It handles better, but still like the truck that it is. I still like it, I just think maybe GM is being a little hasty here, and needs to fine-tune it first. And, lowereing the price $10,000 wouldn't hurt.
