2007 FRANKFURT AUTO SHOW: Nissan Mixim Concept revealed
Nissan has unveiled the Nissan Mixim at the 62nd Frankfurt Auto Show. Targeted at the young driver, the Nissan Mixim concept car is a compact car for geeks who are into their computers, internet - okay it sounds like its made for us.

The Nissan Mixim is powered by Nissan’s ‘Super Motor’ electric motor/generator and uses compact lithium-ion batteries. One Super Motor powers the front axle and a second drives the rear axle, giving Mixim all-wheel drive. Mixim is expected to have a top speed of 111 mph, with a potential maximum range of 155 miles. A complete re-charge is expected to take between 20 and 40 minutes.

No word on whether Nissan will make the car, but they do say that the Mixim “…is the futuristic star of Nissan’s stand at the Frankfurt Motor Show, a conceptual look ahead to what might be a very different world.

Designer1, you are confusing a general industry trend with copying.

GLover, you are so right. I don't see Toyota as anything but a money-making machine that jumps on the bandwagon of technology leaders when the opportunity presents itself. Unfortunately for Toyota, this got them sucked into the hybrid trap and they have fallen behind in diesels -- If I'm wrong then I challenge Toyota to make full disclosure about the true status of their alternative engine programs so that consumers can properly plan ahead. As for me, I'm betting on diesel.
