Fiat has announced that the new 2008 Alfa Romeo Junior will be produced at the Turinese plant in Mirafiori.

The 2008 Alfa Romeo Junior is based on the Fiat Grande Punto and is expected to have a 1.8 liter four-cylinder turbo engine that will push 230 horsepower. Production will start in the first few months of 2008. The car is expected to compete with the Golf GTI, BMW 1 Series and Audi’s Shooting Brake.
