2008 BMW M3 Takes Popular Mechanics Performance Award
Popular Mechanics has awarded the new M3 with its Performance Automotive Excellence Award for the M3'S "mastery of refining and redefining the entire performance envelope." When it is time for the machine to perform, it does so well at the track with it's 4.0 liter V8 which produces 414 horsepower. Right. As others have mentioned, the "2000 745" is not a car, and the "2004 535" didn't exist in 2004 if you don't live in Europe.

I would take a BMW M3 over the Nissan GTR anyday because after all there's no way to drive either of these cars and full speed, but at least the M3 is kool lookin'.

Well, if the '08 M3 isn't the best sports sedan on the planet, WHAT IS?
There may be faster cars 0-60 that every one rants about, there may be faster cornering cars than the M3, and those with better interiors...
BUT when you drive it most will agree, there is nothing for sale anywhere near its price that can match this car for pure driving enjoyment.

Anyways BMW M3 may not be the fastest but it has great synergy. Meaning the total package is very hard to beat.
