A recall for the 2008 model BMW 1-Series and 3-Series has been announced.

BMW North America cited a possible side airbag problem caused by an incorrect crimp connector that was used on the side airbag and belt tensioner wiring.

As published on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website, the official notice states: “BMW is recalling MY 2008 1-Series and 3-Series passenger cars. Incorrect crimp connectors may have been used on the side air bag and belt tensioner wiring.
